ELON, N.C. — A box of letters sits on the counter of Hannah Cahoon’s home. Each one tells the story of her 13-year-old son, Calvin.
“They’re hard to read, but they also make you smile because some of his goofiness comes through in those,” Cahoon said. “It’s just a little reminder of who he was.”
Calvin was a rising eighth grader at Western Alamance Middle School. He died in a car crash on June 20.
