GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — The North Carolina Cemetery Commission has issued a cease and desist letter to a Greensboro cemetery as local families voice concerns over the conditions on the grounds.
“We believe that National Vault Services may be operating the Piedmont Cemetery illegally,” the state commission said in the letter sent to National Vault Services Inc. on Sept. 10.
According to Guilford County GIS records, National Vault Services has owned Piedmont Memorial Park Cemetery on McConnell Road since 2019. State business records show the company was administratively dissolved after a 2023 annual report filing issue and then reinstated April 23, 2026.
