PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — A stalled front to our south has cooler air and cloudy conditions blanketing most of North Carolina, but it stalled far enough south that we haven’t been able to pick up much rainfall from the system this weekend. Cloudy skies stick around this evening and overnight in the Piedmont Triad. Temperatures fall through the 60s before reaching the upper 50s and low 60s by Monday morning.
A second, reinforcing cold front will move through during the day on Monday, which will gradually push the cloud cover and stalled front out of the region by the late afternoon. Afternoon highs reach the mid-70s and by Monday evening skies will be partly cloudy.

Plenty of sunshine returns on Tuesday and temperatures will be chilly in the morning as lows fall to around 51 degrees. Afternoon highs reach the low 70s, a very seasonable fall day.
