WHITSETT, N.C. (WGHP) — Two people have been arrested after a 70-year-old woman was shot and multiple homes and cars were hit by gunfire in Guilford County.
According to the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, on Jan. 23, shortly after 9:30 a.m. deputies were called to Glenville Drive in Whitsett about a shooting. At the scene, they found a 70-year-old woman who had been shot. Her wounds were not life-threatening and she was later discharged from the hospital.
Later, deputies learned that a man had taken himself to the hospital with a gunshot wound as well.
“Several” homes and vehicles in the immediate area of Glenville Drive were also hit by shots, but no one else was hurt, according to the sheriff’s office.
On Jan. 26, Cedric Lee Jr. and Cameron Drake Booker were charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and three counts of discharging a barreled weapon into an occupied dwelling.
