Soggy, possibly stormy weather to kick off work week in Piedmont Triad

(WGHP) – The Piedmont Triad International Airport has observed rainfall every day since Friday, and that trend continues into the start of our work week.

Three-day rainfall totals have been around 1 inch in some areas, including at the airport, with a large majority of the Piedmont picking up around half an inch of rain in the last 48 hours.

With already soggy ground and more rain in the forecast on Monday, a marginal risk for excessive rainfall is in place for the Piedmont Triad.

A marginal risk for excessive rainfall means that isolated flooding is possible but not guaranteed. If heavy rain is able to fall over oversaturated ground for an extended period of time, flooding is certainly not out of the question.
