THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Thomasville City Schools has named Carmen Concepcion as acting superintendent effective Monday after Dr. Quincy Williams stepped down from the role following two years leading the district.
The Thomasville City Schools Board of Education and Williams mutually agreed to release him from his contract, which was originally set to run through June 30, 2027. His resignation took effect April 27.
Concepcion, who has served as the district’s Chief of Schools and Wellness for the past two years, will serve in the acting role until the board identifies an interim superintendent. The board said it will begin a search for a permanent superintendent as soon as possible…
