Former Forsyth County Courthouse sold, redevelopment plans move forward

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A major redevelopment project in Winston-Salem is now moving forward.

Six months ago, plans were made to transform the former Forsyth County Courthouse into a mixed-use building. That deal is now closed, and the building will begin advertising for tenants.

What started as a proposal to bring in commercial, retail and residential space and more into the former Forsyth County Courthouse on North Main Street is now closer to becoming reality.

“We want to keep it in good shape. We want to maintain it, especially on the outside,” said Hytham Mouna, the developer.
