GREENSBORO, N.C. — The countdown is on! You now have until the end of the week to get your property valuation appeal into the Guilford County Tax Department.
“We realize we’re probably gonna end up with over 15,000 appeals here, which is a, a record number. The property owner has until, I really want to emphasize this, they have till friday, 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. You’ve got to have it postmarked by that date or have the appeal filed online by that time. Folks tend to wait in a year like this; they get the tax bill, and then they want to appeal, and then it’s, it’s too late,” said Ben Chavis, Guilford County Tax Director.
