ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A Randolph County man is in custody after being accused of assaulting a woman, according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
On Friday, deputies came to a home on Mountainview Drive in Asheboro after getting a report of an assault.

Investigators ended up seeking charges against 53-year-old Kenneth Paul Nash for felony assault by strangulation, felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury, misdemeanor assault on a female, misdemeanor assault by pointing a gun and misdemeanor communicating threats.
Nash was taken into custody on Friday and was not given bond due to the nature of the charges.
