Reidsville couple welcomes daughter, honors son who died from rare genetic condition: ‘He’s living through her’

REIDSVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) — A Reidsville couple who recently welcomed a daughter are honoring their son who died from a rare genetic condition three years ago.

It’s been more than four years since we first introduced you to Jahavier and Ryan Walker and their child, Tate, who was born in 2021 with anophthalmia, meaning he did not have eyes.

The couple says after enduring several health complications, Tate passed away on June 15, 2023, at 18-months-old.
