2 charged after gunfire strikes car in Burlington, police say

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Two people were charged in connection with a shooting that happened last week, according to the Burlington Police Department.

On May 16 at around 2:51 a.m., officers with the BPD responded to reports of multiple gunshots in the 200 block of North Logan Street. The officers were directed to the 200 block of Adams Street where they found evidence of a physical altercation and gunfire.

During the investigation, officers found that a vehicle on Adams Street had been struck by gunfire. Investigators determined the shooting stemmed from a domestic-related disturbance that escalated into a physical altercation, which is when shots were fired…
