GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – The effort to ease congestion on one of the Upstate’s most complained-about traffic corridors is raising concerns.
Transportation leaders are debating whether the Woodruff Road relief project is worth taking funds away from other infrastructure improvements across Greenville County.
What is the Woodruff Road Congestion Relief Project?
According to Keith Brockington, the county’s transportation planning manager, the long-planned project would create a new five-lane road parallel to Woodruff Road to help relieve traffic along the corridor.
