GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A ridge of high pressure settles over the Southeast, delivering a stretch of pleasant weather across the Western Carolinas through the weekend. Temperatures climb to typical early June heat, and rain stays away until early next week.

Thursday through Sunday: The Best Days

Sunshine continues to dominate Thursday with highs in the low 80s all across the Western Carolinas. The humidity stays relatively low keep it feeling nice for another day. Overnight lows dip to the upper 50s, making for a great night to sleep with the windows open.

Friday looks a little hotter. Highs reach the mid-80s with a little uptick in the humidity. Skies stay mostly sunny with just a light breeze.

Saturday rounds out the dry stretch but the humidity return to more typical June levels. Highs climb to the mid-80s area wide.

Sunday stays mainly dry overall with just a increase in clouds during the afternoon. Highs are in the upper 80s across both the Upstate and mountains.

Monday and Beyond: Rain Returns

Moisture and instability increase early in the new work week, bringing rain chances back to the forecast. Monday sees a chance of showers, with thunderstorms becoming more likely after 2 p.m. The mountains see a higher rain chance compared to the Upstate as a cold front nears the area. Highs land in the mid-80s.

Election Day Preview

Clouds linger with highs in the low 80s. A couple of isolated showers and storms could bubble up in the afternoon.
