Upstate shelter seeks emergency foster after mom dog, nine puppies found under fallen tree

ANDERSON, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Anderson County PAWS said it is looking for an emergency foster family after a mother dog and her nine puppies were found living under a fallen tree.

The shelter said a community member called to report the dogs living in a muddy hole near the roadside. PAWS and the Anderson County Animal Control unit responded, and the family is now safe at the shelter.

Organizers said they need a foster home where the puppies can continue to grow with their mother in a calmer environment.

“The shelter is no place for a nursing mom and young puppies,” PAWS said…
