Solicitor: Upstate man convicted of trafficking meth after failing to appear for trial

PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A Pickens County jury has sentenced a man on drug trafficking charges.

The 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office said that 48-year-old Nathan Douglas Garrett was convicted on June 2 for trafficking in methamphetamine, 28 grams to 100 grams, second offense.

Evidence presented during the trial shows that on May 8, deputies with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office went to Garrett’s home to serve an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
