District: Two Upstate school buses drained of gasoline in series of statewide thefts

LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. (WIS/FOX Carolina) – Laurens County School District 56 reported that gasoline was stolen from two buses amid an ongoing investigation by the South Carolina Department of Education into a series of reported thefts from school buses statewide.

The following Upstate counties had reported thefts: Abbeville, Anderson, Greenville, Greenwood and Laurens.

According to Laurens County School District 56, employees tried to start two activity buses on Tuesday, but neither would start.
