Tracking a severe weather threat for Monday

(WSPA) – Dry weather continues, but temperatures will not be as cool through Sunday night, dropping to the lower 70s, and mid 60s in the mountains.

Monday will see scattered showers and storms pop up, mostly in the afternoon and evening. There is a risk for a few severe storms with gusty winds and heavy downpours. Afternoon highs will be running near 90, and in the mid 80s in the mountains.

Dry weather returns by Tuesday and persists through the middle of the week, before rain chances increase again by the end of the week. Temperatures will be near normal, running in the mid to upper 80s…
