After Recent Offer, Edwards Becomes One of ‘Select Few’

Dion Edwards has been putting in the work in an effort to earn one of those hard-to-get offers from Clemson.

The four-star safety, out of Tyner Academy (TN), first visited campus last fall for the Tigers’ home loss to Syracuse. He returned earlier this month and worked out for the coaching staff at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp, and the effort he’s put in has now paid off.

On Monday, Edwards received a call from safeties coach Nolan Turner and defensive coordinator Tom Allen, who informed him that he was officially being extended an offer from Clemson. He becomes just the second safety in the 2028 recruiting class to pick up an offer from the Tigers…
