Spartanburg County Teacher Anna Lecoq Remembered After Fatal Aiken Road Crash Claims Her Life

SPARTANBURG, SC — A Spartanburg County school district is mourning the death of a teacher killed in a Friday evening crash on Aiken Road. South Carolina Highway Patrol said the vehicle went off the right side of the road and flipped several times.

The passenger in the back seat was taken to a hospital and later died. On Saturday, the coroner identified the victim as 27-year-old Anna Maureen LeCoq of Woodruff.

What Troopers Said

Investigators said a car was traveling north on Aiken Road when it left the roadway and overturned multiple times. The crash happened Friday evening in Spartanburg County.

Authorities said LeCoq was riding in the back seat. She was transported to the hospital after the wreck but did not survive.
