GREENVILLE (Greenville Drive) – The Greenville Drive return home in roaring fashion with an 8-7 walk-off win in the three-game series opener against the Frederick Keys. The Drive improves to 36-49, while the Keys drops to 52-33. In the second-half standings, Greenville is now 10-12, and Frederick is 11-10.
Devin Futrell started tonight’s game for his first appearance against the Frederick Keys in his career, giving up a three-run homer early in the first to Creed Willems, 3-0.
However, Futrell managed to find his footing to strike out the side in the following inning. This allowed Antonio Anderson to send a game-tying homer to deep center in the bottom of the second.
