Greenville’s newest dining room comes with a built-in show: airplanes taxiing and taking off just beyond the windows. Hangar 28 Kitchen & Events is now open at Greenville Downtown Airport, bringing scratch-made food, a full bar and a community-focused gathering spot to the airport’s South Ramp.
The opening was highlighted by FOX5 Vegas on Wednesday, while State Aviation Journal welcomed Hangar 28 in a July 16 piece that does not mention a tenant soft opening on July 8. Hangar 28 occupies the former Runway Café location and is the newest addition to the airport’s Community Corridor. Hangar 28 Brings Scratch Cooking And A Full Bar
According to the restaurant’s official website, Hangar 28 is built around approachable, scratch-made meals, a daily lunch and shareables menu, and a weekend breakfast menu with rotating specials. The concept also includes handcrafted cocktails and private charter catering for guests arriving at or departing from Greenville Downtown Airport.
The airport’s announcement says Hangar 28 will operate Tuesday through Sunday, closing Mondays, with lunch and dinner during the week and breakfast on weekends. Menu highlights include handcrafted sandwiches, salads, shareable appetizers and rotating weekly specials, along with wine, draft and bottled beer and prosecco on tap.
