(WSPA) – A recent report finds the price of some typical school supply essentials has jumped by double digits. The analysis by Groundwork Collaborative and The Century Foundation finds binders are up 13% and index cards up 40%.
But one big effort to help parents save in South Carolina, the Tax Free Weekend, Friday, August 7 – Sunday, August 9, isn’t timing out well because in some cases it falls after school begins.
