GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division confirmed that it has active investigations underway into the misuse of FLOCK by Upstate officers.
Here is a timeline with the details of each investigation, provided by SLED:
July 8
The Greer Police Department requested SLED investigate allegations of stalking, harassment, and assault involving former GPD Officer Kareem Lynch. The investigation also includes allegations of misconduct involving alleged misuse of Automated License Plate Recognition cameras by former Officer Sebastian Echeverry. Both Lynch and Echeverry were terminated from the department.
August 13
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office requested an investigation into two former employees who violated GCSO General Orders. Former Deputy Richard Mann and former Communications Supervisor Lauren Wilkinson were discovered to have misused their FLOCK camera access. Both Mann and Wilkinson were terminated from the GCSO. SLED’s investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
