GREER, S.C. (WSPA)—A BMW battery assembly plant was evacuated Thursday morning after smoke was observed inside the facility.
The incident occurred around 10 a.m. when smoke was first detected at the facility. The BMW Fire Department responded immediately to the scene, and area fire departments were notified in accordance with established emergency protocols.
