(WSPA) — Severe weather has knocked out power for more than 14,000 people in the Upstate and part of western North Carolina.

Upstate
According to outage maps from Laurens Electric Cooperative, Broad River Electric, and Duke Energy, 13,481 customers in the region are without power, including:
- Greenville County: 3,985 customers without power
- Cherokee County: 2,838
- Laurens County: 1,640
- Spartanburg County: 1,608
- 11 p.m. estimated restoration time – Duke Energy
- Greenwood County: 1,358
- 7:35 p.m. estimated restoration time – Duke Energy
- Anderson County: 1,281
- Pickens County: 770
- 8:47 p.m. estimated restoration time – Duke Energy
- Abbeville County: 1
Duke Energy said some areas do not have an estimated time of restoration, as repairs and damage assessments are underway in Greenville, Cherokee, Laurens, Anderson, and Abbeville counties.
Both LEC and Broad River did not share estimated restoration times for impacted customers.
Western North Carolina
Hundreds in Rutherford County remain without power, while outages in other counties are less severe, including:
- Rutherford County: 549
- 12 a.m., Sept. 7 estimated restoration time – Duke Energy
- Macon County: 49
- 9:30 p.m. estimated restoration time – Duke Energy
- Swain County: 10
- 6:45 p.m. estimated restoration time – Duke Energy
- Henderson County: 6
- 10 p.m. estimated restoration time – Duke Energy
- Buncombe County: 5
- 8 p.m. estimated restoration time – Duke Energy
- Transylvania County: 3
- 9:30 p.m. estimated restoration time – Duke Energy
- Haywood County: 1
- 8 p.m. estimated restoration time – Duke Energy
