GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Duke Energy reported that a power line was downed early Thursday morning by a dump truck.
Officials said they were notified about 5:45 a.m. that a dump truck working on asphalt had left its bed raised and snagged telecom lines, ultimately snapping one of the poles near the intersection of Haywood Road and Hawthorne Park Court.
Crews are currently on site making repairs, with an estimated restoration time of 4 p.m., according to Duke Energy. Five customers were impacted.
