Massive steam locomotive to make historic stop in Lebanon city July 7

The world’s largest steam locomotive will be making a stop at the Lebanon 8th St. Station as part of a coast-to-coast tour to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.

The Big Boy No. 4014 will be making a whistle stop at the Lebanon City station at 250 N. 8th St. around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 7. Lebanon will be one of more than 50 stops across eight cities for the steam train, which includes three public displays and nine whistle stops in Pennsylvania.

Union Pacific spokeswoman Robynn Tysver said the whistle stop will be about 45 minutes, which will be one of the longer whistle stops along the locomotive’s route…
