Woman, teen still recovering from crash where Harrisburg man was DUI going 100 mph: police

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Two people are still recovering after a crash where a Harrisburg man allegedly drove more than 50 mph over the speed limit while under the influence, according to police.

The Lower Paxton Township Bureau of Police said it was Chandra Basnet’s “extremely reckless driving” that caused the crash in the 5800 block of Linglestown Road the evening of May 30.

Police said Basnet was driving at speeds greater than 100 mph in a 45 mph zone when he crashed into car with a woman and 14-year-old inside around 6:30 p.m. that day…
