YORK, Pa. — The roar of thousands of classic cars boomed through downtown York on Friday as the 52nd annual Street Rod Nationals East festivities got underway.
The weekend-long event started on Friday with a parade from the York State Fairgrounds to downtown York. Officials with Street Rod Nationals East say over 3,000 cars and 10,000 fans are expected to participate in this weekend’s event.
One of the weekend’s biggest attractions is the autocross course, which allows drivers to test their cars and driving skills. The closed-off track features tight turns and long straights for drivers looking to push their cars to the limits…
