Vaiya Lopez died at 9 months and 19 days old with tubes in her neck and abdomen and a needle piercing her flesh, according to coroner records.
Her father, Devine Davis, told police she drowned in the bathtub after he slipped, fell and lost consciousness six months prior. When he came to, she was struggling to breathe, he said.
