The Pennsylvania Superior Court has denied a Lebanon County woman’s request for relief from her conviction in the 2020 torture and murder of a 12-year-old boy, according to a Monday announcement from Attorney General Dave Sunday.
Kimberly Maurer, who was engaged at the time to the child’s father, was sentenced to life in prison plus 10 to 20 years following her 2022 trial over the death of Maxwell Schollenberger.
The boy’s father, Scott Schollenberger, pleaded guilty and is serving a life sentence in connection with the case.
