MARION TWP., Pa. – A man from Berks County is facing arson-related charges after he admitted to setting a fire that gutted one home and damaged another, police say.
Michael Rader, 43, called county dispatchers Tuesday morning and told them he started a fire inside his home on Main Street in Marion Township, according to an incident report from Pennsylvania State Police.
When police arrived at the scene, they observed Rader sitting outside the house that was actively on fire. Tulpehocken Township Police, which provides coverage for Marion Township, secured the area and detained Rader before firefighters moved in to battle the fire…
