Man arrested after $14,000 worth of sports cards stolen, police say

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– Police arrested a man in connection with the theft of more than $14,000 worth of sports cards from a York County business in 2024, according to the Northern York County Regional Police Department.

Police said that 26-year-old Dontae Rashier Hoover was arrested by the department’s criminal investigation division on Friday, July 10, following a multi-year investigation into the theft.

Hoover allegedly stole several sports cards valued at more than $14,000 from Sun Marketplace in Jackson Township in November 2024. Investigators have since recovered some of the cards.
