Employee charged with stealing from Lebanon County American Legion

LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– An American Legion employee is facing charges after she allegedly spent thousands of dollars of the Legion’s money on skill games.

According to court documents, Cheyenne Shafer, of Lebanon, is facing theft by unlawful taking, access device fraud, and tampering with evidence charges in connection with a multi-month investigation into a theft at the American Legion at 975 E. Main Street in Palmyra.

Court documents show that the incident was initially reported to Western Lebanon County Regional Police on March 18. It was reported that an employee, identified as Shafer, was allegedly withdrawing money using the American Legion debit card she was issued…
