NEW OXFORD, PA — The severe thunderstorm warning for southeastern Adams County and southwestern York County has expired, according to the National Weather Service.
The warning was in effect until 6 p.m. before being lifted after a storm was tracked over New Oxford moving southeast at 5 mph.
What officials said was the main threat
Forecasters warned of wind gusts up to 60 mph. That level of wind can bring down small branches and cause scattered property damage.
The National Weather Service said roofs, siding and trees could be damaged if the strongest winds reached an area.
