Local Sunday market continues debut year with fall schedule

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — After launching for the first time this summer, a local Sunday market has continued into the fall.

The Mechanicsburg Sunday Market is back at the Joseph T. Simpson Public Library every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Nov. 15.

The market had originally switched to adjusted hours from 9 a.m. to noon during the first weekend of its fall schedule on Sept. 13 to accommodate the library’s opening time of 1 p.m., but following discussion with vendors, attendees and the library itself, organizers elected to move back to its normal timeframe, moving its setup from the front of the library to the rear.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Joseph T. Simpson Public Library for their continued partnership and flexibility,” said Tania Srouji of Mosaic Events & Marketing, organizers of the Mechanicsburg Sunday Market, in a press release. “The 10-to-2 hours were very successful throughout the summer, and this allows our community more time to shop, eat, listen to music and enjoy everything the market has to offer while also making sure library patrons have convenient access when the library opens.”…
