GRATZ – Two marching bands from our area made their way down to upper Dauphin County Saturday for a day at the fair.
The Cavalcade of Bands has been an annual tradition at the Gratz Fair for many years, bringing bands from around the region out to perform for the grandstand crowd.
Since at least 2009, Shenandoah Valley’s marching band has been a mainstay of the event. In recent years, Mahanoy Area has joined them.
The rest of the bands are from the immediate upper Dauphin area, including Millersburg, Halifax, Williams Valley, Tri-Valley, and Line Mountain.
Each band performs their field show music and guard routine and afterwards, they join together as one massive band…
