DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A Dauphin County park is closed on Friday for herbicide treatment.
According to Dauphin County Parks and Rec, Detweiler Park is closed on Friday, September 25, while herbicide treatment are conducted within the park. Officials are asking the public to avoid the park for their safety.

Parks and Rec said that the treatments are part of the Friends of Detweiler Natural Resources Conservation Service Grant and are critical to removing invasive vegetation and improving wildlife habitat.
