Hit-and-run driver returned to scene of crash that killed Dauphin County pedestrian: police

A driver who killed a Swatara Township pedestrian last month left without calling for help, then passed by the active scene after checking the damage to his SUV, police said in court documents.

On April 25, cameras from a police cruiser and a fire truck recorded the white Chevrolet Equinox driving by the 3500 block of Paxton Street as emergency responders tried to save James Blowe, 41, of Harrisburg, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Swatara Township police.

Police later identified the Equinox’s driver as Randolph Marchant, 68, of Westminster, Massachusetts. He was arrested at his home last week and is awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania…
