DANVILLE, CALIFORNIA – Danville is moving toward some of its biggest e-bike restrictions yet, following months of resident complaints about speeding riders, close calls on shared trails, and confusion over the difference between legal e-bikes and more powerful e-motorcycles.
At its June 16 meeting, the Danville Town Council unanimously advanced the first reading of a new ordinance that would change where and how e-bikes and e-scooters can be used around Town parks and trails.
The most noticeable change: Riders would need to dismount and walk e-bikes and e-scooters once they enter Town park grounds, rather than ride them through the parks…
