(KRON) — A woman accused of setting a car on fire in Oakland and then attacking police officers and medics who responded was arraigned on felony charges Wednesday, Alameda County District Attorney Ursula Jones Dickson announced.
Krystal M. Love was charged with two counts of assault upon a peace officer or firefighter and three counts of battery with injury on a peace officer. Four of the five counts include sentencing enhancements for the use of a deadly weapon.
On Monday, Love was in the 7400 block of International Boulevard when she allegedly set a car and a tree on fire. Prosecutors said she then “attacked the police officers and medical personnel who responded to the scene.”
Love has two prior felony convictions, one for assault with a deadly weapon and another for illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the DA’s office…
