(KRON) — A bicyclist was killed Monday in Hayward after being struck by a vehicle just after midnight, according to police.
The deadly collision occurred around 12:10 a.m. at the intersection of Harder and Soto roads. Arriving Hayward Police Department officers located the involved driver, a 52-year-old Hayward man, and the bicyclist, a 62-year-old man.
The bicyclist was rushed to the hospital where he later died. His name was not immediately released pending notification of next of kin.
