The 17-year-old driver who crashed last weekend into a group of pedestrians on an East Oakland sidewalk is facing vehicular manslaughter and other criminal charges.
At a press conference inside the René C. Davidson Courthouse on Wednesday, Alameda County District Attorney Ursula Jones Dickson announced she is charging the teen with multiple crimes “relating to death, injury, and hit and run,” but she declined to elaborate on the number of charges and the specific offenses due to the teen’s age.
