On Wednesday, the transit system rolled out parking price hikes for several stations across its network with one station seeing its daily parking rate rise by more than $4.

The price hikes will be rolled out beginning on July 1 at five stations to reflect what Bay Area Rapid Transit calls “demand-based adjustments” that are in-line with BART’s parking pricing policy.
“The adopted policy allows for rate adjustments within a defined range to manage demand,” BART said in a blog post about the price increases.
Daily parking fee rates are set to increase at the Glen Park, Rockridge, Walnut Creek and West Oakland stations.
