Jelly Rolls Ex Takes Over $6 Million Tennessee Home with Close Friends

Additional Coverage:

Rapper Jelly Roll and his estranged wife, Bunnie Xo, are navigating the early stages of their divorce, with Bunnie revealing new details about their Tennessee property and their current relationship.

Jason Bradley DeFord, known professionally as Jelly Roll, filed for divorce from Alisa DeFord, aka Bunnie Xo and host of the Dumb Blonde podcast, on May 18. The filing became public nearly a month later, on June 15. The couple, married since 2016, cited their separation date as May 9-the day before Mother’s Day-following a significant argument described by Bunnie as the “final straw.”

Since the announcement, both have been candid about their split, aiming to clarify misconceptions and keep fans informed. Recently, Bunnie shared on her podcast that she will take full ownership of their $6 million estate in Franklin, Tennessee, as part of their divorce agreement. She also disclosed that her two closest friends, Meme Shahan and Hailee Clark, will be moving in with her at the nearly 10-acre property, which features five bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, a five-car garage, a resort-style pool, and modern amenities.

Bunnie spoke warmly of the divorce process, calling it the “best divorce” and praising Jelly Roll for handing over the keys to the sprawling home, recognizing how much the property means to her. She also mentioned plans to care for their animals on the estate. Despite the split, she describes Jelly Roll as remaining her “best friend” and highlighted how quickly they have managed to settle their divorce details-within just a few weeks.

Meanwhile, Jelly Roll will continue to reside at his other property, a vast 500-acre farm in Burns, Tennessee, which he acquired last year. This farm includes numerous trails and two creeks, with additional adjacent land purchased shortly thereafter.

Bunnie opened up about the breakdown of their marriage in a recent podcast episode titled The Divorce. She explained that the couple struggled with conflict resolution, often bottling up issues, which culminated in the argument just before Mother’s Day. She recounted telling Jelly Roll to “file the f—ing divorce papers,” a statement she admitted was said out of frustration but carried significant weight given their history.

Following the dispute, Bunnie left with her belongings, and the two did not communicate for several weeks. Jelly Roll eventually filed the official divorce papers, and although the decision was not mutual, Bunnie acknowledged that the separation served as a necessary wake-up call for honest communication.

Despite their pending divorce, both emphasize that their relationship remains amicable. Bunnie shared that they continue to co-parent their 18-year-old stepdaughter and are expecting a child together, following a challenging two-year IVF journey. She described the process as emotionally taxing but expressed hope for their future family dynamic.

Jelly Roll addressed fans directly during a recent concert in Saratoga Springs, New York, dispelling rumors of infidelity and reaffirming his close bond with Bunnie. He referenced her podcast as a truthful account of their situation and expressed gratitude for their decade together, looking forward to maintaining a friendship in the years ahead.

As the couple moves forward with their divorce, they appear committed to maintaining respect and support for one another, prioritizing family and friendship beyond their marriage.
