The ongoing feud between Donald Trump and Taylor Swift has taken another turn, with the White House intensifying the rivalry through a recent social media post.
Taylor Swift has been in the spotlight recently following her wedding to NFL star Travis Kelce, which took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3. In the lead-up to the ceremony, the White House stirred controversy by posting a parody of Swift’s Eras Tour poster on Instagram.
The original Eras Tour poster features colorful panels showcasing various stages of Swift’s career, with “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour” prominently displayed at the bottom. The White House’s version replaced several images with a central picture of Donald Trump, also including him in two other panels.
Iconic historical images such as Neil Armstrong on the moon, ironworkers during the Rockefeller Center construction, and the famous V-J Day kiss in Times Square were also included. The poster was labeled “America’s Eras Tour,” and the caption read, “It’s been a long time coming…,” referencing a lyric from Swift’s song “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince.”
Swift’s fans reacted strongly to the post, expressing frustration and disbelief. Comments ranged from skepticism about Trump’s apparent fixation on Swift to outright disapproval of the White House’s attempt at humor. Some called the effort “pathetic” and “embarrassing,” while others noted the irony given Trump’s previous statements about disliking the singer.
The White House didn’t stop with the poster. Following the wedding announcement, which featured pink “JUST MARRIED” signs on MSG’s jumbotron, the official White House X account posted a photo of the venue displaying “TRUMP IS YOUR PRESIDENT” in large pink letters, accompanied by the caption, “IT’S HAPPENED!!!” This move also drew criticism, with fans accusing the administration of being “corny” and highlighting how Swift remains a frequent topic of discussion for Trump.
The animosity between the two public figures dates back several years. Swift publicly endorsed Kamala Harris during the 2020 presidential election, praising her leadership qualities.
Trump responded vehemently on social media, declaring, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” and warning that she would face consequences in the marketplace.
He continued to mock her in subsequent years, suggesting that his disapproval had affected her popularity.
As this long-standing feud continues to unfold, it remains a point of interest for both political observers and pop culture followers alike.
