Marjorie Taylor Greene Slams Trumps State Fair Crowd, Praises Taylor Swifts Tour

During a recent appearance on ABC’s The View, Marjorie Taylor Greene drew a striking comparison between Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and former President Donald Trump’s Great American State Fair.

Greene, who has been a frequent guest on the talk show, spoke candidly about her falling out with Trump, which began in early 2026 after she openly pushed for the release of files related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. Since stepping away from her role aligned with Trump, Greene has used platforms like The View to comment on his latest actions and controversies.

When asked about the White House’s remarks on Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce’s recent wedding, Greene expressed disbelief that the then 80-year-old president would criticize such a beloved musician known for her generosity. She remarked, “I think it is absurd for the 80-year-old president to attack one of the most popular musicians, who is so generous to her staff.”

Taking a pointed jab, Greene highlighted the stark contrast between Swift’s concert attendance and the disappointing turnout at Trump’s state fair, saying, “Her concerts turnout, massive amount of people. A lot more people than, tragically, the state fair. I think that says a lot.”

The Great American State Fair, held over 16 days on the National Mall to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, was widely regarded as a failure due to poor attendance and lackluster public interest.

This latest visit to The View follows Greene’s previous appearance in January 2026, just days after she resigned from Congress. At that time, she discussed her departure, explaining her desire to avoid a contentious primary battle and the political fallout that came with opposing Trump. She told the panel, “I love my family way too much, and I do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the president that we all fought for…”

The rift with Trump reportedly deepened when Greene signed a discharge petition related to the Epstein files, refusing to remove her name despite pressure. She revealed that this defiance led to Trump labeling her a traitor.

Meanwhile, Trump is currently attending a NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and other alliance leaders. The summit comes amid ongoing concerns about Trump’s criticisms of NATO members’ military spending and commitment to the alliance. Key topics at the meeting include encouraging increased defense budgets, support for Ukraine, and managing tensions related to the U.S. conflict with Iran, a neighbor of Turkey.
