Pop superstar Britney Spears has responded to a viral video showing her standing through the sunroof of a moving SUV on a busy Los Angeles freeway. The brief clip, which quickly gained attention online, prompted Spears to take to Instagram on Saturday to share her side of the story.
Posting a screenshot from the footage, Spears wrote, “What people see is two seconds of insanity of me arching me to the lords !!!!! yet the days and hours of my reality !!!!!!
Nothing is what it seems.” She ended with a lighthearted remark: “Psss I think I need to come out of the roof quite a bit more.”
The video shows Spears standing through the moonroof of a Mercedes SUV as it travels along the 101 Freeway, at one point leaning backward over the roof before settling back inside the vehicle.
This incident comes amid a series of recent public moments involving Spears. In May, reports described her behavior as “erratic” during a dinner outing, including claims that she was seen carrying a knife. Spears’ representatives quickly dismissed those reports as exaggerated, stating the negative portrayal mirrors past media treatment from two decades ago and calling for an end to such attacks.
For now, Spears seems determined to address the narratives about her life on her own terms.
