Reports suggest McGregor suffered a torn ACL in the fight. UFC President Dana White commented on the severity, noting the difficulty of returning after a long layoff and confirming that both he and the medical team suspected a blown ACL.
Max Holloway, who avenged a 2013 loss to McGregor, expressed interest in a trilogy fight. “Let’s give it up for Conor, what an absolute animal,” Holloway said.
“There’s going to be a Holloway vs. McGregor three now.
Let’s get that money. We have to run it back one more time.”
Meanwhile, McGregor broke his silence on social media, describing the injury as sudden and devastating. “My head gasket is gone,” he wrote on X.
“Destroyed. I had no injury going into the fight.
This came out of nowhere. I am beyond dark here.
I can only describe it as hell.”
