Patrick Clancy Shares Heartfelt Reflections Amid Ongoing Legal Battle After Children’s Tragic Deaths
Patrick Clancy, father of three young children who were tragically killed by their mother, Lindsay Clancy, has spoken publicly for the first time since the recent mistrial in Lindsay’s case. In an emotional interview with 60 Minutes set to air this Sunday, Patrick, 38, revealed how he continues to seek comfort from the memories of his late children-Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months.
When asked what he tells his children, Patrick simply said, “’Help me,’ … all the time,” underscoring the profound and ongoing pain he carries.
The trial of Lindsay Clancy, who faces charges for the deaths of the children at their home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, ended without a verdict earlier this month. The jury was deadlocked 11 to 1, with a single holdout juror refusing to find Lindsay not guilty by reason of insanity.
Lindsay Clancy claims she was suffering from postpartum depression and psychosis when she strangled the children using exercise bands. Following a failed suicide attempt-jumping from a second-story window-she was left wheelchair-bound due to a shattered spine.
Patrick has also had to confront troubling conspiracy theories circulating online, falsely accusing him of involvement in his children’s deaths. In a statement released through his attorney following the mistrial, he condemned these baseless allegations and vowed legal action against those spreading misinformation.
“This campaign of misinformation has been launched and promoted by minor celebrities, so-called influencers, and outright conspiracy theorists who appear intent on boosting their own social media profiles and potential profit by publishing what they know to be outright falsehoods that Patrick was somehow involved in the death of his young children and other vile claims,” the statement read.
Patrick’s attorney emphasized the real-world consequences of these rumors, noting threats to his reputation, livelihood, and safety. They stressed Patrick’s commitment to combating these falsehoods in order to focus on honoring his children’s memories and supporting women facing perinatal mental health challenges.
Patrick filed for divorce from Lindsay in February 2024, more than a year after the tragic incident. He remarried in April 2026 to Dr. Rachel Danis, and the couple now resides in New York City.
The prosecution maintains that Lindsay was fully aware of her actions and deliberately chose to end the lives of her children. Prosecutor Jennifer Sprauge described the act as a horrifying choice made by a mother, challenging society’s sense of safety and trust.
Meanwhile, Lindsay’s defense team continues to seek dismissal of the charges, arguing her mental state was compromised by a cocktail of prescription medications. In an unusual move, her attorney appealed to former President Donald Trump for a pardon, highlighting the complex and highly publicized nature of the case.
Adding to her defense, Lindsay’s legal team has enlisted Martin Weinberg, known for representing high-profile clients such as Jeffrey Epstein, signaling their determination as a potential second trial looms. A hearing to determine the next steps is scheduled for September 29.
